There's nothing cozier than a slow-simmering pot of beef stew on a cold day!
To keep things on the lighter side, we’ve swapped heavy starches for nutrient-dense root vegetables and organic bone broth. This recipe packs whole ingredients that provide lasting energy while you’re tucked away inside. It’s the kind of meal that turns a "survival" situation into a cozy, afternoon of cooking (don't forget the wine!)
The key to a great stew is the prep - and that’s where the Dexas Prep Tech Board comes in. Don't dirty your tech trying to juggle your recipe while you cook - the tech prep features a groove to prop up your phone or tablet & keep things clean & organized while you cook. Plus, the drip well catches any mess while you slice!
The Snow Day Stew Recipe
1) Use your Prep Tech Board to dice 2 lbs of grass-fed beef chuck, 4 large carrots, 2 parsnips (or any root veggies you have on hand!), 1 yellow onion, and 3 cloves of garlic. (Chop the Veggies first to separate them from the meat)
2) Brown beef in a large pot with avocado oil until no longer pink, then set aside. In the same pot, sauté onions, garlic, and veggies until soft.
3) Return the beef to the pot. Add 4 cups of organic beef bone broth, 1 cup of Cabernet Sauvignon, 2 tbsp tomato paste, a splash of balsamic vinegar, and fresh rosemary.
4) Cover and simmer on low for 2 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
Pour yourself a glass of wine & sit back while cozy scents fill your home, and stay warm!
